Our Christmas/New Years Card & an Update on the Todd’s

Well this year we didn’t do a Christmas card, but now I wish we did. So next year expect one to come your way. Since I didn’t, I thought I’d do a blog and update you on the past week or so.

Chet and I have been very busy the past week because we’ve had a house full of guests. In the beginning of last week Chet had finals, we were cleaning, grocery shopping and getting ready for all our guests and Dylan & Shane came to visit. We hadn’t seen Shane since our wedding (a year and seven months ago), so it was really good hanging out with him. John came on Christmas Eve and celebrated Christmas with us.

All the guests had a great time at the B&B. Some were here for Christmas, which means Chet and I had to work on Christmas. But it wasn’t too bad. After we served them breakfast we gave them full use of the kitchen the rest of Christmas Day. That way we could celebrate Christmas as a family at the lake house. We had an amazing Christmas and it couldn’t of been any better. We don’t have that much snow at all. We actually wish we had more during Christmas so we could use our snow mobile, but unfortunately there wasn’t enough.

Well today was our family of guests and they checked out around 10am. We had until 2pm to clean the room, do all the laundry, get everything ready for Mary to take over while we’re at Texas and pack. We hurried, but we made it. We were flying stand-by and the loads looked horrible. All 50 seats were booked and we were both on stand-by. Two people had to not show in order for us to make the flight. Well……God is good! He did a miracle and we were the last two people on. Chet and I thought we weren’t going to make it and have to drive down to Missoula, which is 2 ½ hours away, stay the night in a hotel and try tomorrow. That would of cost a lot more money and time. But thankfully God’s plan prevailed and we made it!!!! Now we just have to make the flight from Denver to Dallas, TX. Pray we make it! Chris and Haleigh fly in on Thursday and Court and Nick drive down late Friday night. Then we’ll celebrate Christmas as a family. I can’t wait!!!!

Montana in December

A December in Montana is gorgeous!! Snow is everywhere in Marion, but with only a short drive to Kalispell the snow has melted. We’re at such a higher elevation that it makes a big difference with how much snow we get and how long it stays. It’s so easy to have it feel like Christmas because of the weather! I love it!

This is our second Christmas together, but it feels like our first because last year Chet was in military training so we came to Montana for a week in a half and then left. We didn’t get to decorate or anything. L So this year has been amazing! Literally! I feel like I’m a little girl during Christmas time. It truly is the happiest and best time of the year. Decorating, shopping for your loved ones, baking and enjoying family is the best. Chet and I cut down our very first Christmas tree. We bundled up and drove the truck to the Todd’s property. The sun was setting so we were in a hurry. As we were truckin’ through the snow for a while, Chet said ‘hey how about this one.’ I said sure it looks great! He cut it down, we brought it home and put it in our apartment and realized it was one special tree! That night we had the Christmas music going and decorated it together. The BEST!! I took a picture of it and my dad asked if a ¼ of our tree was missing, and I had to say yes! Oh well! It’s our first tree, we cut it down and it’s special. Who cares? I had been making several different Christmas crafts for the us and B&B, and I got to decorate the B&B and our apartment. Turned out awesome! I love making crafts now! It’s all about pinterest. So now we have this adorable apartment all decorated for the Christmas season.

I’ve also been crocheting a lot of things! I completed a gorgeous big round blanket I crocheted, several headbands with flowers, a cowl scarf (infinity scarf), a thick purple button scarf, several crocheted flowers, fabric flowers that I wear in my hair and I’m now working on a beanie. I’ve made a couple aprons and hemmed my first pair of pants and shorts! I love crocheting and I’m always trying to find new things to make. I have a list of course.

We have Chet’s brothers coming up to Montana for Christmas. This will be the first Christmas in a long time that all four boys, and Rick are all celebrating Christmas with the family on Christmas Day. Rick and John will sometimes have to fly on Christmas. We haven’t seen Shane since our wedding because he went to Singapore. So it will be one fun Christmas! We also have guests checking in the 20th and then again on the 22nd for Christmas so we will be very busy with the B&B. Around the 30th of December Chet and I are going to fly to Texas to spend Christmas with my mom, Ron, Chris, Haleigh, Nick & Court! I’m so excited!!!!! We’re flying stand-by so I pray we make it out on the 30th. So it will be a busy next couple weeks, but we can’t wait! And I can’t wait until Christmas day.

I hope you all have a great Christmas and Happy New Year.

Winter Time in Montana

Where do I begin? I’m sorry I haven’t blogged in about a month. Life has been busy here in Montana. Well….I can say that winter has arrived. We have heaps of snow on the ground, but I’ll back up a bit before I start complaining about the snow already, just kidding (well maybe not). J

Chet and I are doing great up here. We have more time together than most couples, but we love it! Chet is very busy with school full time and it keeps him quite busy every week. The B&B has slowed down a lot lately, but hopefully we’ll get more guests. But we will have a busy Christmas with guests! I’ve been keeping myself busy with other things: bookkeeping & crafts!!!! I’m doing the B&B quickbooks, working for a company in town and doing their quickbooks and then also doing the Todd’s. When I have some down time I’ve been into crafts and crocheting things. I’ve made a blanket, scarf, headband ear warmers, flower headband and now I’m working on a cowl scarf. I’m also making a lot of Christmas decorations for us and the B&B. They’re turning out so cute and I’ll post pictures when I have them hanging.

And the snow has arrived! This past week we had a big snow storm/blizzard and one night it snowed over two feet, and it went into the next day as well. It’s been snowing this entire week off and on. The coldest it got was in the negatives, and Wednesday it was around zero degrees for most of the day. Chet has stayed very busy snow plowing. I just couldn’t believe how much it had snowed in one night, it’s crazy! I’m not used to it yet, but hopefully I will be soon. Take in mind our front and back decks at the B&B are huge and having to shovel all the snow after a huge storm is a lot of work. You get a good workout from shoveling snow. And the most disappointing thing is when you’re shoveling while it’s snowing so it just piles up again. I finally finished the front and back decks yesterday, but when we left this morning for the airport I saw they already needed it again.

This morning we woke up a little after 3am to get ready and go to the airport. It was snowing so much and the roads hadn’t been plowed yet, but Chet got us to the airport safely. There were zero spots open on my flight so I thought I wouldn’t make it, but two people switched flights so I made it on. WOO HOO! I now have to try making my next flight to Ontario. Chet made his first flight, which was a miracle as well. We have a wedding in California and then we’re celebrating thanksgiving and Christmas with my side of the family. It will be a fun week!

And the day I get back from California I’ll start decorating our place and the B&B with Christmas decorations. I CANNOT wait! I’m so excited that I feel like a little girl at Christmas. Last year Chet was in military training, we came to Montana for two weeks and we didn’t have our apartment put together so we couldn’t decorate. Well this is our first true Christmas all settled in, in Montana and I couldn’t be any more excited!!! I get to decorate our own place as a married couple for the very first time! And I’m making decorations, which is even better.

A Busy Week at the B&B

I flew home to Missoula then drove the Todd’s car 2 ½ hours to Marion. It was such a long day. Chet was amazing and did sooo much cleaning and prep work for the B&B, all the shopping for the huge workshop group from MA, who checked in Sunday. He also cleaned our apartment and did some laundry and our bed sheets. So sweet! I was amazed and so blessed. Just what I needed! We only had to do a few things before the guests got there, then happy hour for them, prep for breakfast the next day and then time to hit the sack. I felt so emotionally drained Sunday and Monday.

Monday was crazy busy with a house full of guests and then we made dinner for 18 people that night. It was so much work but it went really well. Then the next few days were very busy with no break. But now it’s over and we only have one couple coming back tonight. Phew! We made it.

My Gramps, Glenn Stephenson

My grandpa had started to feel bad about six months ago, April 2011. He thought he hurt his back golfing and then hurt it again by lifting a chair incorrectly in the backyard. There were a few other things that caused him to think it was that, but all along it was cancer. The first week of August he went to the hospital and he was getting really bad for the next two months and the doctors couldn’t figure out what it was. They thought he cracked his vertebrae. Then about three weeks ago (mid-september) the doctor was 99% sure gramps had multiple myelom, cancer of the blood. He said it wasn’t bad, definitely curable and the best kind of cancer to get because it was so mild. Well he was in that 1% chance of being wrong. On October 3rd, Monday, they found out gramps had liver cancer the size of a softball and it had spread throughout his entire body and bones. There was nothing to do at that point. It was progressing so rapidly and the doctor estimated 12-13 weeks. He was supposed to go back that next Monday to the doctors to get his blood work taken, because that’s the only way they could find out how fast the caner was spreading and how much time he had left. I booked my ticket the following day for the end of the month thinking I would be okay with the timing. God had a different story. They decided on hospice Monday the 10th and hospice came in Tuesday morning at 8am.

My God story: My friend in small group asked me if I’d like to go on his grandfathers private jet to visit my grandpa before I came down the end of the month. I prayed about it and wrote him and took him up on the offer. There was one seat left leaving Monday the 10th and coming home Thursday. I was amazed, stunned and so blessed. And at the time I thought I’d still come the end of the month. I flew to long beach Monday the 10th and chris picked me up and went straight to grandpa and grandma’s.

Grandpa was doing okay. Looked worse than I expected: ghandis, kidney’s failing and bloated from it, lost a ton of weight, couldn’t move, only laid in bed in one position and in a lot of pain. He was just waiting for the Lord to take Him at the right time. He was coherent and talking to us, responsive, and making jokes. I kept bringing pictures and laid in bed next to him while looking through them and spent amazing time with him. He was saying to help take care of grandma. Later on I told him how I wish Chet would call me his bride, because grandpa kept calling grandma his bride after 55 years of marriage and he said ‘to not try to change or mold chet.’ Wow! That stuck! He kept calling grandma his bride, which I love. He was so selfless. He wanted Loinne to be comfortable or do anything for grandma rather than himself even though he was the one with terminal cancer. He talked about how at first he thought he was cheated by God but then realized that God had a better plan and he knows he’ll be in a better place. He said he felt God with him wherever he went, holding his hand the entire time. He said wherever I went, God went. Again, Wow!!!! What an amazing man of God. I wonder what he was thinking in his death bed and how within hours he will get to face God and be with him for eternity in a new and perfect body. With NO pain whatsoever.

But Monday was a good day. We stayed until 8pm and I came back the next day, Tuesday morning around 10:20 and it was night and day difference with how much he declined. I was stunned. He was becoming less responsive, didn’t want music, only talked a little in the beginning but got less and less until he didn’t respond anymore. He had talked to grandma that morning and told her I’m getting weak, I don’t know how much longer I can last and that I love you. That was a powerful and intense moment. He had to get oxygen because he wasn’t breathing correctly, had a horrible cough with mucus and secretion, didn’t pee in three days, didn’t eat anything, they stopped giving him all his pills since he couldn’t swallow and only gave him liquids of pain medicine to take away the pain and make him comfortable. But I was able to say my goodbyes for the grandkids and me and that I loved him. He didn’t respond to me but I know he understood me. Courtney changed her flight to come out the next day, Wednesday. Chris left class early to come and hang out with us and say goodbye to gramps. Uncle Greg and them tried to move their flight up but they couldn’t.

Gramp passed away on Wednesday around 10:30am. I had left to go pick up my sister so it was dad, grandma and the nurse there. They were able to spend the last few minutes with gramps. I picked up court at 11:45 and it was too late, which is so crazy. When I came Monday I never knew it would be that soon. I thought on Monday I’d still come the end of the month. But on Tuesday the Holy Spirit was telling me it was going to happen that week. I loved him so much and miss him already. He was the best Grandpa ever!

A Great Way To End September

Well I have to say September flew by so quickly. Thankfully we had a remarkable September with Montana weather. We were, on average, ten degrees warmer than a typical September. I loved it!!!! But I now have to accept the fact that this weather doesn’t last and before I know it snow will be here.

My mom and Ron came to visit us in Montana as well as my Aunt Becky, Shauna & Syenna! It was their first time coming and I’m so glad they brought Syenna. We had such a good time hanging out, going on walks, hikes, shopping, and showing them Montana. The time spent with them was wonderful, but it went by too fast. Syenna is a bundle of joy and loved so much. It was a learning experience having her here for three full nights and four days. I didn’t realize how much work babies are and how time consuming it is, but I loved it. I was very sad when we had to say our goodbyes, but I just pray it’s sooner than later that I can see them all again.

We also had guests here and there throughout September. The B&B did slow down, because summer is over. I started working for Murphy & Michelle as their bookkeeper/administrative assistant. Murphy was the GM for the B&B, and they have their businesses here in Marion. So I’ve been working for them when I have some spare time. Also, Chet will now be in his 6th week of school, so he’s staying very bust with 17 units. He’s going to get his bachelors in Professional Aeronautics. He also flies for a skydive company every once in a while and he’s still in the Montana Air National Guard and reports one weekend a month for his drill. So between the both of us we’re busy.

He just had his guard drill this past weekend and came home last night. I stayed home for the weekend and had my list of things to do. It was just Mary and I, but it was a great way to end September for a couple reasons: 1. My wonderful mother-in-law taught me how to sew my first project, an apron. I really enjoyed sewing and can’t wait to make another one. 2. She also taught me how to read a pattern on crocheting a blanket so I’ve started that. I did have to take it out and start over, but she’s teaching me that’s all part of the learning process. I really enjoy crocheting and hope to be able to make several other things. I’m trying to keep myself busy and learn new things since I have a long winter ahead of me, and thankfully I have Mary to help and guide me along the way.

And that’s about it with me. Chet and I are doing well and love living up here. But I do miss my family a lot. Continue to pray for Chet with school and for our marriage. And my last prayer request is VERY important. Please pray for my grandpa to be healed completely and for the cancer to be wiped clean of his body. The doctors said he has liver mass cancer and he’s not doing well physically. Please pray the Lord heals him, takes away the pain & gives him all his energy back. He should find out today or tomorrow the exact type of liver cancer and how to treat it.

Our 1st Camping Trip

A week ago today Chet and I went on our first camping trip together! And let me start off by saying it was AMAZING. We had so much fun together and can't wait to go on our next camping adventure. Here in Montana there are so many places to camp that it seems endless. We bought our first tent and some basic items needed.
We decided to have our first trip be in Glacier National Park, which was the best decision. Theres countless places to camp in Glacier but we chose Bowman Lake. It took about two hours, twenty minutes to get there, but ti was well worth the drive! There was a campground, drinking water, and porter-potty, but no showers. So we got to take our shower in the lake, which was very cold.
Once we got there we set up our tent, which was so easy to put together, unpacked everything and walked to the lake. Bowman Lake is absolutely gorgeous with a few glaciers. It was quiet, peaceful and so relaxing. It was such a gorgeous day that we inflated the kayak and took it out on the lake. The lake was glass! Everything about the place was gorgeous, and peaceful. After our kayak ride we grabbed our chairs, wine, appetizer, radio & of course bug spray and headed back down to the lake to enjoy our happy hour together. Best happy hour spot ever!!! Following happy hour we cooked delicious brawts for dinner and s'mores for dessert. The campfire was perfect and the stars were spectacular! We stayed up very late talking, eating s'mores and playing cards.
Chet and I shared a twin blow up mattress that ended up working out better than I expected. We woke up the next morning and Chet made a delicious breakfast. We used our dutch oven over the fire and cooked bacon and eggs and made egg, bacon croissant sandwiches. Yummy!!!! Then Chet and I decided to have a day adventure. So....we made lunch, packed it in our small cooler, brought the fishing poles and packed everything in our kayak and wanted to explore the lake. We kayaked, fished and then found a gorgeous remote beach to relax and have our picnic lunch. After lunch we both thought we heard a bear so we got out quickly and started kayaking again. It was the perfect day.
When we got back to our campsite we went for a short hike, took a shower in the lake, had our happy hour again overlooking the lake and then dinner, which was homemade chicken soup that I had made the day before we left. It was so good. It was another great night!!!!
Our second morning we had met a general in the military and he and his son took Chet and I on a boat ride to the opposite side of the lake. It was a cloudy day and a bit chilly. You can only go up to 10mph on Bowman Lake so ti took about 30 minutes to get to the opposite side of the lake. It was so gorgeous and even more remote on the other side. Unfortunately the wind picked up and we had a difficult time getting back. There were up to 3 feet of waves and we all got SOAKED. We were so cold, but it was still worth it. After we got back we had to pack up and head home to the bed and breakfast. Mary and Rick had taken over for us for two days and we had to return to our jobs as innkeepers. We're so blessed they did that for us, because we came back so rejuvenated.
Anyways, it was the BEST camping trip and it couldn't have been any better.

Mini-Vacation 2 Sandpoint, Idaho

Yesterday Chet and I left around 1pm and flew the mooney to Sandpoint, ID. It would have been a two hour twenty minute drive, but we decided to take the mooney and it only took us forty minutes to get there. How nice is that?
The flight was great and easy! We landed at Sandpoint airport and we were going to call a cab to take us to our hotel, but the FBO let us use the courtesy car (an expedition) while we were there. How awesome is that? I was so excited!!!! So we drove to the Inn at Sand Creek, which is in the heart of downtown Sandpoint, and let me add that downtown Sandpoint is such a cute little town. The beach was a short walking distance from our Inn and everything worked out perfectly.
Our inflatable kayak had been delivered that morning so we were able to pack it in a bag and bring it with us on our trip. So we went to the beach, inflated the kayak and decided to try it out on lake Pend O'Reille. This lake is HUGE and so gorgeous. Northern Idaho is pretty much the same as NW Montana: Beautiful lakes, evergreens everywhere, mountains and the best weather you can ask for. We had a blast on the kayak!!!! We went swimming on the beach and afterwards we grabbed our bags from the car and walked over to the Inn. The Inn at Sand Creek was the perfect place for us, because we didn't have to talk to anyone or deal with people. Our letter and key were in a mailbox and it had directions to our room. We had an adorable two room suite and the room was really nice. We then cleaned up, had our little happy in our living room and then headed out for night.
We walked down to the beach and there was a great restaurant overlooking the bay and lake. The most perfect setting. There was live music on the deck and we ended up eating dinner there and had a great time. SO relaxing and delicious food!! Following that we went to a brewery and then had ice cream. Afterwards we found this perfect little spot tucked away from people and businesses and it was overlooking the river so Chet and I hung out there for a while and enjoyed ourselves very much!
This morning we had breakfast at the same place we had dinner, and we sat over looking the lake again. Breakfast was delicious! Afterwards we headed out to the lake and took the kayak out for a couple hours. We also enjoyed the beach, swam and relaxed. For lunch we found a delicious philly cheesesteak place and it was so good. We then headed back to airport to fly home. We had a bumpy flight, but thankfully I didn't get too sick.
Overall it was the BEST mini-vacation ever! We loved every part of it, and being able to fly there made it so much easier and more fun. We were going to stay another night but decided not to. Well it's a good thing we didn't because we had guests call and reserve a room at 9pm tonight. Pheewww, good thing we are here.

Summer Months Flying By

Well summer is almost over, but it sure has been a GREAT summer. Montana is so beautiful and we have been having the best weather. Summers in Montana are perfect, minus the horrible mosquitoes. July was a very busy month for the B&B. We had so many reservations and all the people loved it. It seemed like we were having guest after guest after guest. We did have a good eight days without guests and it was perfectly timed when mom, Ron and Chris were here. They came for eight days for a vacation and we had a blast. The day they left we had guests check in, and there were guests coming for the next two weeks. We were busy!!!!

In the meantime we had other families visit us as well. So we all kept quite busy. And this past weekend was my mom’s 50th Birthday. We did have guests coming for the weekend but when I left on Friday morning there were only four rooms booked throughout the weekend. Well, I flew to Texas and Court, Nick and Chris picked me up and we met my mom and the rest of the gang in Horseshoe Bay at lake LBJ. We had such a fun weekend together. But we ended up having more bookings that were made the day of at the B&B. Chet and his dad were running the place and I felt so bad and guilty for having left him. But it was very successful for Chet and Rick and he said it all turned out great. J I’m so unbelievable blessed and grateful for my amazing husband. He was totally fine with me leaving to spend time with my family. Thank you Chet, I love you so much.

Now Chet and I are going to take a little mini-vacation to Sandpoint Idaho for one night. We’ve been so busy with the B&B, then he had to work almost every day last week for the airplane mechanic on the runway and then had a house full of guests this past weekend. Also, Chet has his monthly guard drill this weekend. We have guests checking in Wednesday and this weekend so I wont be able to go with him, but now it’s my turn to do the B&B without him.

The Montana Family Vacation

Mom, Ron and Christian spent eight days with Chet and I, in Montana. Prior to them coming we had so many guests for a few weeks. All the guests checked out two days before they arrived and then guests didn't come until the day Christian left. What a God thing! God knew we needed a little vacation and we had no guests stay at the B&B while the three of them were here! God is good.
Chet and I had an absolute, wonderful time with them. We made delicious dinner, desserts, and breakfasts. Mom and Ron even tried a new B&B breakfast recipe that was so good. We also had amazing weather. We spent a lot of time at the lake. The boys fished at least five days, and we went water skiing several times. One of the days was spent hiking to Lupine Lake and enjoying a picnic. Wednesday was Chet's 24th Birthday so we spent it at the lake, fishing, skiing and had a Birthday dinner at the lake house. Chet marinated the ribs overnight and they were yummy! Dinner was perfect and to top it off I made homemade huckleberry/apple pie with homemade ice cream! :-)
The day after Chet's birthday Dylan, Chris, Chet, Mom and I went white water rafting and man was the fun. Mom got to check white water rafting off her bucket list! Dylan made the trip pretty funny, because he almost fell out of the boat but Chris, our EMT certified guy, pulled Dylan back into the raft. What an adventure! And while we were out in Glacier we had to get huckleberry ice cream and snacks.
The last big event we had during our vacation was the B&B's grand opening party. We pretty much planned it around Chet, Mom and Ron. And we're so glad we did because they all helped tremendously. Mom and Ron are great entertainers and they made it much easier for Mary, Rick, Chet and I. I know that I can say, without them there it would have been a lot more difficult. The party was a huge success and over 100 people showed up!!!! We had a roasted pig and it was GOOD!
Chet took Mom and Ron flying for the first time and they both liked it!!!
Of course the trip went by way too fast and I wish I could rewind a bit, but I'm so unbelievable blessed the three of them could come (if only the rest of the family was with us) and enjoy a vacation with Chet and I at our home! The hardest part about living in Montana is being away from family. That's why I'm so thankful and will never take for granted the time I do have with my family. Nobody and nothing can replace a family. I love all of my family and I thank Jesus everyday for them.

Homesteader's for a Day

Chet and I spent a full day and night living as homesteaders. The Wagar's cabin is an original homestead cabin in a very remote part of Northwest Montana. It's a true log cabin built in 1909, and let me give you an idea of what a true cabin is like: it's one that has no electricity, no running water, an out-house, wood burning stove, wood burning fireplace and the entire cabin is one big room. It was only supposed to take us fifty minutes to get there, but we took the scenic route and it ended up taking two hours to find the place. Murphy's directions weren't the best. For example, he said that when you go over three bumps you're getting close. :-) We drove on a dirt road for over an hour to get to the cabin. There was nobody around and it was great.
Once we got there I just knew we would have a great time. The scenery of the area is magnificent. The cabin is perfectly located on Thompson river. The view is spectacular! Chet brought his fishing gear and his very first cast he caught a fish. He ended up catching 6 fish in one day! We had lunch overlooking the river, fished, swam, relaxed and enjoyed God's creation. There was not tell of time, which made it even better. No phone service, no TV, just the two of us in the middle of nowhere. Not having a phone beep and go off constantly with emails, texts, and phone calls was the BEST!
Chet and I cooked our dinner in a dutch oven atop the wood burning fireplace. Dinner was delicious and afterwards we cleaned our dishes in the river, and also took a shower in the river. Now this is unheard of but after dinner we took a nap! And I never take naps, but I needed it after a busy 2 weeks with guests. At 9:30pm we were still swimming in the river, because it was so warm outside. During the summer months in Montana it stays light outside until past 10pm. But I packed tons of candles and once it got dark we lit them all over the place and took some outside to play cards. Chet and I ended up playing cards, talking and relaxing until midnight.
Of course we slept in, enjoyed breakfast out on the deck and then had to end our trip by packing up to head home, because we had guests coming that afternoon.
Even though we were only gone for one day and night, it was the best mini-vaca ever!!!! It was so therapeutic, relaxing and fun. The Wagar's have a very special place and we're so blessed they shared it with us!

New Hikes in the Area

During Chet and I's free time we've been going on new hikes in the area: bald mountain hike, waterfall hike, Kootenai Falls and of course boating and skiing on Bitterroot Lake.

Guests Just Keep Coming

On Friday, June 24th, we had a house full of guests for five days. Chet and I served breakfast for up to 15 people just the two of us!!!! We were extremely busy. In one day I did 14 loads of laundry. Yes, 14 loads, crazy huh? The following day I did another 8. :-) We do quite a bit of laundry when we have a full house. Anyways, Chet and I had a great time with the guests and they all loved the breakfasts, appetizers and freshly baked goods in their room. One of our new breakfast dish is danish abelskibers and the guests love them! My papa would be proud.
As that group of guests were at the B&B we kept getting reservations for either the next day or a few days later. Reservations kept coming and we were booked last weekend. One couple loved staying with us so much that they cancelled a hotel reservations and came back to stay with us three days later.
Chet and I have had guests from Czech Republic, Britain, Korea, Canada and all over the US. We've had a good time getting to know and chat with people from all over the world.
The B&B is keeping Chet and I busy with cooking, cleaning, laundry advertising and such. We are doing well here and loving this beautiful sunny weather.
