It’s February 11th and I have been waiting for this day for 7 months, and it’s finally here. The countdown of Chet’s training is almost over. Ever since we got engaged there has always been a countdown. Today is the day we will meet together in Montana and actually live there. Chet graduated from tech school in North Carolina this morning, and he flies to Montana midnight tonight. On Tuesday we drive to Great Falls, MT to finish his last month of training! WOOOO HOOOOOO
We finally get to live together, and we’ve already been married (almost) 9 months. Isn’t that crazy? Seven of which were the hardest, but thankfully the hardest part is over and now it’s smooth sailin’ from here on out.
I spent four months in Texas so I had a lot to pack. I was so anxious and excited about today that it took me forever to fall asleep last night. I woke up and 3:30am and I’m running off 4 hours of sleep but I feel great! I’m so excited that it’s overriding my tiredness. J Ron and I left the house at 3:50am. Ron is amazing for getting up at 3am to take me to the airport. I’m so grateful. I had to check in three bags and the guy almost made me pay $125 dollars for my 3rd bag, but thankfully he waived it. Hallelujah. I will never be checking in three bags again. I got to my gate on time and was praying that I would my flight. I flew stand by and my odds didn’t look good, but I prayed God would work a miracle. There were complications with the plane so we were delayed an hour in a half. By 6:30am I still wasn’t sure if I was going to make the flight and thought I might have to run to another gate to try and make a different flight that left at 7am. But thankfully God made it happen and I made the flight. God always seeks to amaze me! I give Him all the praise and glory. I made it to Salt Lake City in time for my connecting flight to Kalispell and made the 2nd flight! Horah!!!! God is good.
I now get to pick up Gus at the Kennel, buy groceries and head to our apartment. I couldn’t be happier right now. I’ll have a few hours to get settled in and then drive into town tonight to pick up the love of my life up, at midnight. We get to spend the entire weekend alone in our very own apartment. This will be the first time since we’ve been married.
Thank you everyone for your prayers. Chet and I will now get to live together.
