Monday night we had a banquet that consisted of dinner and a great speaker. Once that was over we did enjoy the hot springs again! Monday and Tuesday were filled with speakers, talking to different booths that work with B&B's, lunch and several other things. We learned so much within those two days! It was invaluable. The speakers were great and it was very beneficial for us. The board of Montana Bed & Breakfast Association asked me to be their secretary. I agreed, they voted and everyone approved. I'm now the secretary for MTBBA. We had a meeting Tuesday after the convention was over and we also meet two more times throughout the year at different Bed & Breakfasts' in Montana. I'm very excited to be on the board, because I'll get to travel Montana, see other B&B's, learn the industry more and at the same time get to travel with Chet twice a year for the board meetings.
By the time the convention was over I had an item list of 45 things that we need to do for the Bed & breakfast and I'm not kidding. Anything from advertising, marketing, adding to our website, adding to our existing companies we already advertise for, contacting several people for the B&B and many other things. Pretty much this will keep me very busy for the next few weeks. And once we got back from the convention, Wednesday, Thursday, and part of Friday Chet and I worked on the never-ending list. :-)
And now that the snow is melting we are able to begin landscaping! Wooo HOOOOO. Finally! We're still getting snow and rain almost everyday, which is getting old fast, but we're able to start some of the beginning steps to landscaping. We've also been ordering patio furniture and other things that we've needed for the Bed & Breakfast. It's an ongoing project, but always fun!
Chet and I are loving it up here and enjoying it very much. It's so great to finally be together all the time! Our apartment is completely finished and we just love it. It feels like home and it's cozy!
